Self-portrait
Sometimes we have so many tasks to do, they become more and more, and we just can’t do them. We can only sit and watch the tasks grow bigger and bigger. We feel powerless and unable to act. We no longer look ahead and close our eyes.
Sometimes we just have to start, but we can’t until someone takes us by the hand and shows us what our real problem is.
When I was a child, my father went on bike tours with us. When we got to a mountain, I became desperate. I didn’t see the end. My father called it “making the mountains big in the head”. And then he helped me and motivated me until I got to the top. Sometimes we just need someone to show us the big picture, so we can start.
This picture is supposed to be such a help as well. It shall help others to see the big picture and to take the first step. So that the floodgates will open wide and the viewer can move on. Because once we start going, we arrive at the top and there we have a wonderful view of things, we are free.
