DESCRIPTION
I love underwater portrait photography because of its serene nature and the weightless freedom of movement it gives to its subjects. But I neither own an underwater camera nor do I have an underwater housing unit. Not wanting these barriers to hold me back I decided to create a image to reflect my interpretation of underwater photography in my style of fine art self-portraiture.
I want to show the fluid, ethereal nature of the body in water.

Kelly Long is a fine art photographer, specialising in self-portraiture. She crafts evocative and beautifully imagined images that encapsulate the emotional aspects of being human. Her self-portraiture work explores the vulnerabilities, fears and hopes that connect us all.
