For the last three years, since I completed 50 year old, I have been working with photography for helping me face the marks of the inevitable aging on my skin.
Deconstructing the images helps me to accept how my body decomposes and will be decomposing over the years.
I print copies of self portraits and let them spoil with rust, salt, rain and washing powder; they change!
I can slowly observe the images getting old as I do, even though I still try to hide behind a veil...

Silvia Husek is a brazilian photographer, she lives in São Paulo with her husband and son, her journey into the photography world started late, only 5 years ago, after a valuable journey in the corporate world. She is most interested and focused on documentary and fineart photography. Silvia found in art her inspiration, and, on photography her self fulfillment, more than that photography is a passport for her to make her inner journeys, as well as outbound trips, in a a way to find the sacred.
