Seascape nominee

I portrayed a glimpse of Atrani, a small seaside village on the Amalfi coast, crowded with many tourists in summer. With this photo I wanted to highlight the contrast between its tourist reputation and its ancient identity as a small village populated by families of fishermen. And in this sense the "hanging clothes", a symbol of the sweat that comes from their sacrifices, which the devoted wives take care of lovingly, well represent the daily life of their lives and the contrast with the summer liveliness due to the many tourists who flock to the beaches and the sea of ​​Atrani.

I was born in Cava de 'Tirreni (Salerno-Italy) on February 26, 1963.
I attended a photography composition course in 2015.

"I don't really like taking photos that simply describe: whether it's a landscape, a face or just an object.
Instead, I would like my interpretation of an image to represent my "low voice" way of evoking, in the viewer of my shots, their experiences, memories and most intimate feelings, so that he himself, rather than just a spectator , almost as if he were in front of a mirror, he feels the protagonist of the scene he is observing."
