As a newcomer to New York, I felt a bit like a blind man and my camera served me as my white cane. There were so many unknowns about the City, so many things to understand and to comprehend. And so I started reading the City. With my camera, I began touching New York's shadows, its colors, its textures, its shapes.
As time went on, I also started to grasp how much loneliness and isolation this city has. Is it possible that those beautiful moments I took for representing calmness and serenity within the metropolis, are actually screaming loneliness?
I am still reading New York.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Belief in constant self-rediscovery brought me to the world of photography and digital art. Today, as an active exhibiting member of Soho Photo Gallery in New York City, I am fully dedicated to the fine art urban & documentary photography. Perhaps because of my social science background, cities, urban-human interactions and built environments continue to fascinate, inspire, intrigue and guide me on my photographic journey. Being a devoted fan of walking, I usually define myself as an urban hiker with a camera.
While in my photographs I primarily investigate, question and try to comprehend aspects of human condition in the urban space, my work is deeply rooted in ideas of individual freedom, equality and self-liberation.
My recent exhibition history includes solo shows at Soho Photo Gallery "Aspects of Change" (June 2020) and "Change will come" (August 2020) as well as a number of solo and group shows in New York (USA), Vilnius (Lithuania), Budapest (Hungary), Barcelona (Spain), Baku (Azerbaijan).
