AUTHOR
I have never studied the photography technics and i only began taking pictures a few years ago. This is probably why my first reflex was to use a mobile phone device, a tool that was more familiar to me. My approach in photography is more like a hunter of shapes, compositions, shades, inked in the real environment in which I settle. I rely a lot on my intuitions; most of the time I take only one photo of the identified subject. Using a mobile phone gives me some mobility and anonymity for what I do. I have been living in Shanghai in China for 10 years and although I also travel abroad, I like the rapidly changing Chinese environment that provides me with a framework of very interesting contrasts, especially in architecture. I am also very interested in painting, even if I do not practice it and I often look for angles and effects that can offer pictorial resonances.
