Echos of Silence (Blue) (Series)
DESCRIPTION
This series illustrates an escape from the hectic frenzy of our day to day world, and the pursuit of an essence of being. I attempt to capture the quietness and desolation of a landscape. Reduced to the bare minimum, the white space of origin dawns. There is peace to be found in this stillness.
AUTHOR
Annet Neijmeijer (1960 is a contemporary fine art photographer. She finds her inspiration in the interaction of emotions, impressions, and memories. There is a philosophical undertone to be found in her photos. They are metaphorical images, defining a truth that can be simultaneously real and inconceivable.
The way we perceive the world around us is personal, there is not one concrete truth. We color our experiences and memories, and we charge them with emotion and meaning. Different people have different recollections of similar events. In her work, Annet tries to analyze memories of the past and feelings of the present.
