Historical forgetfullness. (Series)
DESCRIPTION
This series recreates the different styles of european interior arquitecture of historic sites, in the late 19th and the early 20th century.
The story talks about tuberculosis desused hospitals and forgotten stages
of great theaters.
Three images that -the author calls palliatives- were taken in the area of Brandemburg (West Germany) in 2020, and the other two in 2017 in Caramulo (Portugal) and Tangier respectively.,
The author invites the viewer to meditate with the calm that these solemn spaces convey and to sublimate the beauty of the passage of time, and at the same time, imagine everything that could happen there. It would be like portraying that absence of those who once lived there, convalesced or acted. The objects and furniture serve as a clue to understand the use that was given to them and still resting in the same place.
AUTHOR
Photographer mainly self-taught,
with quite a lot of dedication,patience and positive attitude.
Taking photographs is my means of expression in visual arts
even though I´m musician and percussion teacher.
