An ongoing series of monochromes I am creating of city views - London, Toronto, Manchester feature in this set of five images. I am often drawn to the underbelly of the city, such as the deserted canal basin 'Castlefield' in Manchester that is one of the shots in this set.
I started out in photography with B&W film and regularly find that the images I record are about light, shade, mass and form. The colour is sometimes a distraction from these.
