After spending weeks in the country of Taiwan, photographing its beauty. I found myself on the last day wondering the streets of its capital city of Taipei. After hours of exploring, I came to the realization that I was many miles from the hotel. Still wanting to see more of the city I decided to get off the main streets into the back alleys. This is where found the true soul of this city, with the small neighborhood restaurants, bars and friends locals filling the narrows roads.
It was on these roads less traveled a came upon this amazing view of the iconic Taipei 101 tower. Once the tallest building in the world and great pride of the Taiwanese people.
With a storm closing in, I setup up my camera to capture what felt to me of an image portraying traditional Taipei coincided with the accelerating Taipei.
