We consume what is offered to us - as it is offered.
Without questioning what we are supporting.
As if we had no influence anyway.
In the meantime we have got used to the fact that fruit and vegetables in the supermarket are wrapped in plastic and every single candy in a pack is individually wrapped.
After a snack to go, it is normal to go to the trash can with your hands full.
We see the packaging every day and are no longer consciously aware of it.
In my work I show the absurdity of our plastic consumption.
At first glance it seems absolutely grotesque that every french fry, every scoop of ice cream is individually wrapped.
But unfortunately we find a lot of products packed so excessively.
Even where nature independently provides ideal packaging, humans intervene and destroy this great working system.
I didn't want to show nature that has been destroyed, but rather pictures that remind the viewer that he is influencing every day.
With every purchase. With every snack.
We determine the supply through our demand and should be aware of this power and responsibility.
