DESCRIPTION
All the people who are not only children say they have either a brother or sister, or siblings. Someone who is born from a multiple pregnancy, on the other hand, above all knows that they are a twin.
I am a twin and I have found out for myself what it means to live a relationship so overwhelming to overcome even the one with your own mother. This awareness made me want to create a photographic project trying to describe not only the aesthetic similarity of the twins, but also the psychological characteristics of their bond.
Through video interviews and questionnaires, each twin has told me about their relationship with the other (or the others, in one case), going from identity problems to complementarity trends, from competitiveness to complicity, from the ability to support each other to knowing each other with an intimacy that no one else can even perceive.
These acknowledgements have then become the colours by which I painted allegories of more or less rooted, more or less aware symbiosis.
