My aesthetic focuses on exploring relationships with ourselves and and our natural environment. I was exploring the concept of suffering in creating this image; is it self imposed? Or a product of our environment?
According to Buddhism, the root of suffering is neither the feeling of pain nor of sadness nor even of meaninglessness. It is the never-ending pursuit of ephemeral feelings, causing us to be in a constant state of tension, restlessness, or dissatisfaction.
People are liberated from suffering when they understand the impermanent nature of all of their feelings and stop craving them - this stops the mind from the pursuit after them, which causes the feeling of suffering.

I create digital composites that embody two traits I have: I’m a pragmatist and a dreamer. I’m fascinated by forces of nature and the human body. I have an urge to understand how life and nature works; that same urge pushed me to complete a M.Sc degree in Chemistry. I’m moved by observing natural phenomena and human interactions. I tend to create imagery with a “darker feel” to shed light on mysteries that are unknown to us; the connection of human emotion to natural process. I also tend to play with elements of sexuality and perceived taboos.
