When I visited Weimar in Germany I was quickly fascinated by this facade, the clear structures of the windows and the diverse shades of gray from house wall, lantern, paved sidewalk and paved road addressed me immediately. The lantern fits exactly into the vertical gap between the rows of windows as if someone had painted them there.
The counterpoint to the gray tones and the strictly geometric shapes form the bright red window bars and the yellow car, that too is parked there all alone. The picture almost looks like a painting or like a color key image.
