SELF PORTRAIT
I subconsciously have a huge preference for a color palette inspired by nature. I use a lot of soft skin and natural tones in particular. Nature is very important to me, it inspires me to connect with myself. I also want to be fluid like nature. I bring myself into a natural state through conscious contact with inner loneliness and silence. This provides more peace and space. My images are also quiet, empty and lonely. Perhaps those images are a reflection on and a counterpart to the often present internal chaos? Nature is always what it is. You can't argue with it, but of course I keep going against myself. You see that alienation in my work.
