Landscape nominee

Just A Mirage is a series of photos taken throughout California in 2020, from the southern coast to the northern mountains and into the desert. This series aims to forge a stronger emotional connection with the viewer through color and composition choices intended to accentuate the wonder of these already surreal natural landscapes. Different techniques that were used to achieve some of these effects include the use of a vaseline-coated filter as a softener, to in-camera multiple exposures with a zoom lens to both enlarge the moon and control its position in the sky.
