Nature creates amazing patterns. They are so different in essence, but at the same time they very much resemble each other. Some textures of frozen ice are very similar to clusters of stars and galaxies.
This series of photographs is the result of long observations of ice crystals formation on water of several fresh water lakes. Different weather conditions (the speed of water freezing, air temperature, the depth of the lake, presence or absence of snowfall or strong wind, etc.) resulted in formation of unique fractals and ice crystals.
Each texture had to be found, cleared of snow, and photographed in daylight conditions.
Some pictures in this series were taken with a camera from the surface of the lake, whereas others were taken from the air with the help of a drone.
