This image’s theme is identity. Our lives are built around appearances, we identify ourselves with external models, we show ourselves to the world under a different light. We end up absorbing a wrong perception of our self and we end up forgetting who we really are.
But when we show our nakedness, it means we show ourselves as we really are. Nothing can hide us. We have lost our masks and we are forced to confront to our real self.
This image shows the internal void and the personal and social embarrassment that are felt when we are finally confronted to our real self. Ashamed of who we are, we try to hide ourselves as we can.
As we all live with this kind of contradiction to a certain extent, the person in the image actually represents every one of us and invites the spectator to meditate on its own condition.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I'm a fine art nude photographer based in Spain. My work is influenced by the sculptures of Ancient Greece and starts from the premise that aesthetics precedes the message. At the message level, my works are essentially influenced by Carl Gustav Jung's concept of analytical psychology, especially the concept of "persona"
My work focuses on the symbolic use if postures and shapes, the play of shadows/light, textures. The scenes I photograph are made up of few elements. Normally a single subject, lots of negative space, no accessories (or rarely). The essential meaning of the message is transmitted by the isolated body.
In my language, clothes are not used to dress, but to disguise and thus transform the identity of beings. Nudity represents the absence of disguise and becomes in fact the allegory of an authentic identity.
