Love Impossible series was created in 2017 and refers to the famous Lovers by French painter - René Magritte. The image was interpreted in number of ways. One of the most widespread is the reference to blind love, when the perception of a loved one takes place through a special filter that falsifies both perception and interpretation of reality.
The series of black and white photographs was taken in the studio without the participation of third parties or assistants. It is a photographic record of the performance, during which the actors play sex scenes. Both, the woman taking part in the performance and the man (the author of the project) are naked, but their bodies have been wrapped in foil.
Love Impossible is an allegorical reference to the loneliness of people in relationships and non-fulfilment in interpersonal relations. Desires fuelled by lust and our imagination are impossible to fulfil, which is symbolized by an invisible barrier in the form of a plastic film - a kind of skin through which one cannot feel and experience anything. Despite visible involvement, closeness and intimacy in this relationship, the fusion is only symbolic, because the barrier does not allow for fulfilment.
