»Wattenmeer« (»Wadden Sea«) was taken on the shoreline of Normandy, France. The ground of the sea was forming these patterns during low tide as tourist groups started to conquer the tideland. Just like small grains of sand formed the differently colored stripes on the ground those tourists created a composition of lines and circles themselves. They seem to form a unity, though when you watch closely they are all individual, diverse in what they do and what they look like.
Thus »Wattenmeer« captures the interplay of individuals on a larger scale on both layers of nature and human.
