Seascape nominee

Travelling at places that are close to the sea is a common thing in my professional projects all these years.
The sea has the picture in my mind of something that has its own identity and it changes all the time.
The story for the picture with the purple sky is something unique. This is a famous beach in Mykonos island called Platys Gialos. It is a peaceful beach, safe for families and kids. In June 2014 I was at the end of a professional project for a hotel located literally on the beach. One day the scenery changed dramatically. Until early afternoon we could see no signs of storm and extreme weather conditions. But after 5 or 6 oclock this happened. It lasted for two hours where we could see nothing of the beach we knew.
The sunbeds were floating into the sea and people were running frantically to pick them up and take them away.
When the rain stopped I came out with my camera and saw this spectacular seascape reminding me of nothing from what I knew and making me think it is something that I will never see in this place again.

Photography studies at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Greece. Based in Athens, works as a freelancer and travels in Greece and abroad.
Working experience focuses in the fields of architectural photography, hotels, professional spaces, products, food photography. Portraits, travel, lifestyle and fine art photography are also included.
Professional experience began in 1995 almost parallely with the studies.

Fine Art projects are created throughout the years, in parallel with the professional assignments. Lanscapes, nature, urban, street photography are favourite themes of interest.
The photos have emotion and are characterized by atmosphere and realism.
