Abstract nominee

Embryo as a definition can be described as a thing at a rudimentary stage that shows potential for development. In this artwork, it can be explored from both an internal and external perception. The embryonic state of a new world unfolding and developing around us with the pandemic, climate change and human consciousness. We as humans are only just beginning to understand the impact we make on our environment, the changing health environment and the development of human consciousness. Embryo is a drone photograph taken over the salt lakes in South Australia.

CC HERKES is a collaborative duo that creates artworks from drone photography since 2018.
