In September I returned to Lapland, one of the most northerly lands on the planet, inhospitable to humans due to its extreme climate and great light excursions. Its humidity allows some species to thrive like nowhere else.
Cranberries and blueberries, ferns, horsetails, cloudberries and many other small plants spread out as far as the eye can see, creating very soft carpets and designer textures.
