London was murky and still howling during the tail-end of Storm Brendan - the first of four storms to hit the UK in the early part of 2020. Scientists predict storms will become even more powerful and frequent bringing with them warmer and wetter conditions.
The Strata SE1 building was an innovative addition to London's ever growing skyline accommodating over 1,000 Londoners but crucially housing three wind turbines on its roof capable of producing up to 8% of its energy needs. The relationship between the buildings sustainable energy producing efforts and the polluting urban traffic below wasn’t lost on me. With this in mind, I playfully threaded the road traffic through the eye of one of the wind turbines, mashing these opposing concepts into one compelling image.
