With this series I wanted to explore the range of possibilities concerning a topic, which you would not associate with our common conception of beauty.
Compost as the term itself describes the decay and decomposing of organic matter, pictured by most as useful but not exactly pleasant to look at.
But as I am always collecting my organic waste in my small kitchen at home, I came to notice the potential of the beautiful and colorful piles of scrapings and left overs, which you would normally just dispose of without a second thought.
So I started this project, only using the said things, and created these bright sculptures, celebrating their last moments before decomposing into something entirely new.

AUTHOR
I'm a student for communication design based in Hamburg, while my work is mainly focused on photography and 2D-animation.
Concept art and staged photography are what I'm especially interested in, so most of my pictures fall into those categories, wether portraits or more abstract subjects.
