Title: Memento Mori
Memento Mori represents life as a form of pilgrimage of consciousness and
the arrival of death in certainty. However, we walk through it thinking that
will never happen, almost as a means of unconscious self-defense despite the knowledge of
our perishable nature that at some point will succumb along with everything
that we love and hate.
The project recreates the subgenre of still life, generating the challenge of finding the
poetic beauty in the very conception of death and its daily life, representing its
fragility and transience, thus opening to contemplation the suffering carried by the corpse in
as for history.
