This project is based on the social context of the Coal-Exit in Germany and the impact of climate and structural change on the landscape and the inhabitants of the area. Focusing primarily on landscapes that have been artificially altered by structural change, I eventually completed the shoot with a focus on opencast mining lakes.
In this work I have tried to blur the boundaries between the sky and the lake, allowing them to exist in harmony with each other. And I intentionally distanced my point of view from the subject, creating an absurd contrast between the small people and the wide environment in order to create some unrealistic elements in the real natural environment, ultimately presenting a quietly surrealistic image.
Ultimately, what can be discussed is that in the wave of change, we as human beings have left our footprints in one way or another, we have witnessed it and we have participated in it.
