Covid Flowers is an ongoing project about the pandemic. A bouquet of flowers, defiant, wilted and forgotten. Dead Flowers is about life and death, isolation and accessibility, hope and despair. Being confined indoors made me realize all these obvious parallels to what is still going on as I write this statement.
My kids would ask me why am I photographing dead flowers? I guess it’s my way of dealing with what is still going on as I write this statement. A humble tribute to the many who have suffered and died.
