This series is called “Wetlands”, it started last summer as a study of expired Polaroid 690 type film and how it works in different light settings. But later continued with a different type of film.
During the past few years, I've come to feel a deep connection to the swamps and lakes and forests that surround them. I love this unique ecosystem. I love the smell and the feeling of the swamp. Each swamp is different and has its own mood, or magic if you will. But any season and any time of the day it's mesmerizing.

My way in photography started when I was a child and was making b&w prints with my father in our home darkroom. Later as a teen, I was shooting a 35 mm point-and-shoot camera. I was always craving something more, so I picked up the camera again in 2007, first taking pictures on 35 mm, then 120 mm, and finally finding the medium that made my heart beat faster and the world spin slower - Polaroid. It's been 10 years and I still feel the same way every time I see the image the first time after it's developed.
