Another Planet (Series)
DESCRIPTION
The series of photographs was taken in cape Opuk and Koyashskoye salt lake, located on the Black Sea coast of the Kerch Peninsula in Crimea. Koyashskoye salt lake separated from the Black Sea by a thin strip of land. The uniqueness of the lake is that it always looks different. The beautiful water in the lake has the particularity to change color, depending on the light, time of day, season, due to the presence of microscopic pink-colored algae living in the water. I wanted to capture the different states of the lake at different times. When you are in this place, you can feel like on another planet and you want to absorb all the impossible beauty of this amazing place.
AUTHOR
I’m 36 years old photographer from Kerch, Crimea, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. I received my BSc. in Finance and MSc. in Jurisprudence. But I take a great interest in photography. I studied photography at the Kyiv School of Photography.
I am particularly interested in landscape photography. As a landscape photographer, I'm looking for stillness, vastness, the sublime, and sometimes also a touch of surrealism. I have my own vision in producing photos which is: “I’m looking for the beauty and translate it to in image”.
In August 2020, the French magazine L'Œil de la Photographie published a series of my photographs "Another Planet".
