Landscape nominee

The Swiss region of Emmental is one of the most touristically underrated regions in the entire country. It's known though for linden growing on top of some hills. These trees have special meaning. They are planted there to celebrate special occasions of land owners, such as the birth of a child. I set myself a challenge to find some of these lindens with the Alps as the background. This has been one of these findings. It was still dark when I arrived at the spot and I realized soon after that it was not a place I planned for. It turned out to be much better than what I planned for and nature gave a true spectacle of beautiful fog and light that resulted in this image.

Ewa is an IT professional who spends most of her free time traveling and photographing. She especially loves nature, hiking in remote locations and observing wildlife.
