Landscape nominee

Hvitskur is located in the north of Iceland and is a flat stone sculpture shaped by wind and water. Legends say that the stone is a solidified troll that froze forever during a sunrise. While we sat on the beach watching the waves and clouds, a discussion arose about what Hvitskur reminds us of most: a drinking elephant.
The long exposure photo was taken on a rainy day in the cold autumn during midday, which is how the mist-like water resulted.

Photography got me through a very tough time in my life, during a time I was fighting a severe illness. Photography was the one thing that took my mind off it, made me forget and be happy. It has now become an absolute passion I can't live without.
