Alien street lamps in the fog (Single)
DESCRIPTION
One December day I was struck by the scene I saw from my window. The fog was so thick I could barely recognize the street lamps I was used to encounter each time I went out of my door. They looked more like aliens looking at me and spreading an orange light all around, slightly lighting up a the silhouette of a tree stretching out towards the mysterious entities.
AUTHOR
A contemporary photographer from Monza, Northern Italy. She has always been passionate about photography, long before owing a camera. Her approach to it is rooted in cross-genre experimentalism often lying in minimalism and abstraction which are particularly effective in interpreting photography not much as a way of documenting reality but as a reflection about reality itself both on a personal and universal level.
During her activity, Avellino has been awarded in several international photographic competitions, such as the Chromatic, Creative, Fine Art, Minimalist, Monovision Awards, Bifa and the IPA (International Photography Awards).
Her work has been exhibited during a number of international events and galleries such as Venicephotolab, Loosenart exhibitions, the Glasgow Gallery of Photography, Spazio Arte Tolomeo in Milan, Photiq Gallery at Royal Lemington spa, UK and the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.
Avellino is also present with her projects on photographic websites and magazines like Life Framer, Spectaculum Magazine, Artdoc Magazine, Mass Magazine, Docu Magazine, Dodho Magazine and Mnngful Platform.
