Covid-19 has affected and will affect the entire planet for a long time. It has altered our way of life at all levels: personal, social, economic, cultural...
In this work, presented by the artist Richard Le Manz, those disturbing and contradictory exterior landscapes caused by the pandemic become interior landscapes, emotional experiences captured through photography, visual poetry.
The body of work has been prepared, for the most part, in different periods of confinement and the images are a reflection of the anxiety and concern generated by the different news about the evolution of the pandemic.
Each of the images explores some of the implications caused, capturing our time and experiences in a conceptual and poetic way. From the use of masks, uncontrolled contagion, the world hanging by a thread, restrictions and confinements, the contribution of health workers and state security forces and bodies, the value of public health, the possible gift poisoned in the form of contagion that we bring to our loved ones, the war for vaccines, 2021 as the year of the long-awaited vaccine, or the hope of locking up the virus once and for all.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Richard Le Manz is a Spanish conceptual photographer whose work is mostly recognized for raising awareness and criticism about climate change.
His artistic discourse is marked by his training in industrial engineering and his passion for travel and nature. He started in landscape photography, but soon understood photography not only to capture beauty, but also to reflect on the social and environmental problems that threaten our planet.
Le Manz makes use of his special ability to unveil new meanings in things, raising reflections on universal issues. Through his art and the power of his images he pays special attention to the current problems of the world, especially the environmental ones, and of our society. Sometimes absurd pairing, transformation, irony, and double meaning are some of the resources the artist uses to establish communication with the viewer.
