What I often feel while traveling is that these days tourist destinations are creating an overly jumbled landscape. But nobody notices it. Or no one finds it strange.
Ionian-style columns were installed in the background of the festival of traditional Korean dance. An amusement park was suddenly developed in a rural village with paddy fields. Vending machines for Coca-Cola and Pepsi stand out the most in the museum that recreates the age of dinosaurs. In front of Korea's ancient royal tombs, motels stand and change the skyline of the royal tombs.
Yet no one complains. Tourists taking pictures casually with the red flower trees in the background acted as if they did not see the huge pillars of the power plant and the smoke emitted from them. Tourism seems to have swallowed everything. Is it the tourism of the 21st century to enjoy the mixture and chaos?
