the beauty within

In this digital collage series it’s about depth, focus and layers of perception. And the beauty that lies within the eye of the beholder. Cut & paste is used to create an experience that is more than the sum of its parts, trying to create possibilities to lift the veils of illusion. It is also a tribute to our ancestral artists, who paved our way.

This hibiscus blossom grew in my living room. For me, it symbolizes a Hawain-like evergreen summer.
Then I learned, that the Hawaiian word kaona means hidden inner meaning, a kind of spirit of an artwork.
Et voilà, the perfect term and concept for this series.

Born 1974, I grew up in a beautiful area in Bavaria, Germany.
After studies in arts history and architecture I graduated
in mediadesign in 1999, Munich/Germany.
For many years I worked as art and creative director. I enjoyed living in Vienna and traveling the world.
Now I live with my husband und our 2 sons south of Munich.
Since I have a family, I focus an my artistic work. I love to follow my bliss and bring my ideas into being.
