The project aims to document the presence of mixed couple in Italy as social phenomenon that is inextricably linked to that of immigration. The "mixed couple" label is linked to the concept of difference as a cultural construction relating to a specific historical and social context and is strongly conditioned by cultural stereotypes. In times when immigration is represented as an emergency phenomenon rather than as an inevitable social evolution, the spread of the mixed couple directly represents the capacity for inclusion rather than segregation of the migration process by the host culture. The ultimate goal is to question the very concept of "mixité" by showing all its artificiality, claiming the absolute uniqueness of every human being and of every union. I chose to represent couples through the portrait set, in places they identified as emotionally significant. Based in Padua, Italy, where I deal mainly with social and documentary photography. Lately I have been involved in several projects in the field of social investigation, with particular attention to the migration phenomenon in Italy and in Europe. I have documented informal settlements along the migratory routes in Europe, producing reports in Calais, Athens and Padua. My works have been published in several online magazines and have been exhibited in several Italian cities such as Turin, Rome, Naples, Milan.
