This series was inspired by the different identities we create for ourselves & how we conceal or reveal those identities to the world at large.
Meant to explore the different ideas of self through each subject, I worked mainly with urban artists, requesting that each provide a mask for their portrait.
Granting full creative control to define & represent their own idea of a mask, as well as finding the appropriate location that would act as a sort of stage for these identities to manifest were both key to the execution of this portrait series.
Each collaboration allowed a birth to take place for the subject, creating a completely new & unique vision of themselves that they wanted to portray to the world.
