Wildlife/Animals nominee

With this series of photos I want to document the incredible biodiversity of the oceans, and the role that each organism plays in the ecosystem. Even the tiniest fish play a vital role in maintaining the balance. Ocean overexploitation, pollution, and global warming are pushing this balance to collapse. I believe that showing the beauty of these creatures can make an important contribution to raising people' awareness, in the hope that each of us will put a small brick on the wall of the fortress we must build to protect our oceans.

I am a terrestrial and underwater photographer. I am attracted to solitary places where I seek a fusion with the nature around me.
The power of nature over the human soul has long intrigued me. I have always considered wild places to be like a great Church, where our soul and mind can find silence and peace.
