Planet C begun to form on 12/03/2020 when I was called to face the pandemic. It is a series of photographs, consisted of surreal depictions that refer to the collective experience of isolation through the personal gaze.
The arrival of the virus and consequently the repetivive quarantines, brought me to Planet C, where I was revealed a different prism of viewing and dealing with my daily life. My personal objects began to lose their usefulness and turned into imaginary compositions, which were created to symbolize my worries about the virus, the inclusion and the fear of loss.
Planet C became the means of visualizing my inner worries through the prism of childhood imagination. Every surreal composition passes through the prism of children's imagination. The unfiltered observation, and the color palette of this photo series compose the elements of my inner child view. My planet is dominated by the color palette of pink, which is the color of my childhood, that makes me feel safe. As a child paints what finds difficult to express in words, so I create surrealistic compositions to express my concerns about what happened two years ago and continues untiL today.
