Photographer, passionate about horses, Cacá Redig, from Pernambuco, has art in his DNA. Cacá grew up in a family where art was a daily affair. He is the great-nephew of the renowned artist Reynaldo Fonseca, recently deceased at the age of 94. His other great uncle, Olavo Redig de Campos, was an important representative of the Brazilian modern architecture.
After a four years stay in the United States he moved to São Paulo, where he joined his passion for horses and photography. With striking images, a look through the sub-exposed and much contrast, Cacá shows us scenes of his daily life in a different way, with a touch of mystery, heir to the art of Reynaldo Fonseca. According to curator Denise Mattar: “Cacá Redig combines his artistic sensitivity to a deep knowledge about horses. That allows him to capture them in motion, at the perfect moment, with manes loose, flying in the wind, when they are strong and irresistible...
