We ARE NOT “alone”.

I’ve always had a hunch… but when I watched the 60 Minutes ‘news magazine’ here in the States one Sunday evening and they ran a segment with interviews of U.S. pilots tracking “unidentifiable aerial phenomenon” (UAP’s/UFO’s) during naval training exercises… why, I knew there was something to this; so I went digging – research on the world’s greatest library, the Internet.

Sure enough, there are documentaries in great number!

At first I thought “doubtless these are a spoof”, some smarty-pants conspiracy theorist posting zany content online for the “illiterati” to digest and glom onto (like “the Covid-19 virus is a hoax”! You get the picture).

But no.

As a lifelong ‘doubting Thomas’, I watched these films with rank skepticism asking myself… “Really?!”

Sometimes the interviews came across as a parody, pseudo-documentaries. But then, continuing my research looking into the wonks being interviewed, I began to loose my skepticism – and these sightings are not just a recent phenomenon! Visitors have been among us “forever”.

I started as a printmaker (lithographs and silk screen) utilizing a photo process; then worked for a while in a commercial silkscreen shop.

I moved ‘out West’ and worked briefly as a Photo Assistant, then segued into the Film Industry where I built a related production service as a Location Scout.

With the advent of “digital” I gladly threw myself into learning how best to process my work using Lightroom and Photoshop; so when I left Film and Photo Production I became obsessed with the process of photo editing. (Though digital cameras can make wonderful images they are never Ready To Go ‘out of the can’.)

My ongoing experimentation with PS, LR, a few related plugins and 3D content I pull from Pixelsquid, utilizing my own site library built over two and a half decades as a Location Scout and occasionally reworking content from Creative Commons photo portals like Unsplash now-and-then tapping stock photo sites for additional high-res ingredients I can continue my intended evolution to build images that will fool the mind’s eye instead of dazzling the ComicCon crowd with Photoshop World/Candyland colors and efex for another brief dopamine hit.
