Conceptual nominee

This set includes different symbols that refer to specific subjects (human traits, I mean) such as butterfly, sea, sky and brain. Butterfly’s wings, bone, brain, sea, stone, sky, and egg are symbols of beauty, strength, thought, vastness, pride and difficulty, infinite area respectively. I was very fortunate to start this project in Autumn when I could use beautiful Autumn leaves for the background in the photos. This set is indeed a pattern of natural objects with many details! The subject of each set is attributed to the photo’s texture. Further, I embedded some needles in leaves to exemplify determinism, e.g., birth and death that are not our choices but rather given to us. From my point of view, a narrow-minded mentality is like people with useless lives. I had a different experience in this photo, showing the narrow-minded mentality with the worms entering the brain. Furthermore, I used some stones next to brains to show that some brains are just heavy but empty in terms of thought and mindset.
Each of these elements is a symbol of nothingness and all values important to us that vanish by death.

I’m Elnaz Taassob, I was born in 1987. I have a master’s degree in Graphic design from Tehran University. Since childhood, I was passionate about photography and drawing, I spend much time reading about photography and sometimes I took pictures. I‘m an introverted person so I think for me illustration or taking photos are good ways of communicating because I can speak by photos or illustrations and easily show my deepest feelings. I seek creativity and new ideas, I try to find the best in everything, so I love my career. I’ve been participated in many graphic illustration and photography exhibitions, at the end I’m a formal member of the Iranian industrial photographs society and I dream about working as an international photographer and I’ll work hard for my dream.
