This series of mountains at Mont Blanc was photographed with an iPhone in the same week when news of a Mont Blanc glacier’s impending collapse shocked the world. On 25th September 2019, CNN reported that 8.8 million cubic feet of ice could collapse anytime. It was unthinkable that I had just passed by the Val Ferret valley when the news was announced worldwide. People were evacuated immediately, and the valley was closed. Locals told me that the mountain is going through a period of unsettling changes.
