In my project The Female Eye I have for several years been exploring femininity and the female body. It started out as an opposition to the concept pf "The Male Gaze" but over time I got more interested in how to express bodily emotion, where I worked closely with dancers. Together with dancer and model Nadja Nord I worked with exploring different poses of falling or giving in but at the same time being ready to rise or move.
This image is shot in June 2021 and it symbolizes how we feel after a long time of pandemic restrictions. Many of has been falling down in our own mental health or into loneliness feeling the weight of isolation. Sometimes to our knees but at the same time being ready to rise and sit up from our position, grabbing our bags and walk out into the world. Many of us have packed their suitcases, longing to meet family and friends but have had to change our plans the last moment.
