Landscape nominee

Laurisilva is an endemic forest of subtropical humid warm climate found on the Canary Islands in Spain and the island of Madeira in Portugal. Over the years I have carried out a project called "primordial" to document this biome during the filtering light condition.

Gabriele Mannelli is a landscape photographer born in September 1981 around the hills of Florence where he still resides. His first contact with photography took place as a child at the end of the 1980s thanks to a reflex of the Father, a machine that accompanied him until 2009, the year in which he switched to digital. Since then he begins his artistic and spiritual path. His aesthetics images the deep bond that exists with the territory portrayed, managing to grasp its hidden soul in a perfect and emotional fusion. Since 2015 he is a freelance, to his credit he owns several publications and international awards.
He draws inspiration mainly from environments and landscapes of particular purity, wild places, where nature reveals itself in all its magnificence, these are the scenarios that act as a canvas for his visions. Rationality, study and observation of the territory are aspects of primary importance, but only together with sensitivity and intuition do you believe it is possible to create interesting photographs.
