Nature nominee

The photographer let himself be guided by his gaze, constantly on the lookout for the magic that surrounded him. On the winding road that leads to the foot of the Imperial Crown (Anniviers, Switzerland), the mist of this winter morning just hinted at a landscape shaped by the precipitation of the day before. The rain, then the snow, a soft mixture that had completely frozen the scene. One minute, then ten, then fifty, during which the photographer was immersed in a soothing and intriguing atmosphere. "Fixed" is both the power and the subtlety of a frozen and still setting.

Samuel Devantery is a Swiss photographer based in Valais. Born in 1991, he obtained a Bachelor in social work and a diploma in photography. Social work allowed him to take a new look at photography and his way of perceiving the world. He learned to find the positive in each situation and create a virtuous circle around love, friendship and professionalism. Photography encourages him to always remain amazed by the environment, which translates into poetic clichés that inspire the viewer to dream.
