In a Different Light (Series)
DESCRIPTION
'In a Different Light' lives in a space where no definitive reference points exist. In the dark, on your own, in the dead of night, trying to transform the darkness into light. Trying to become sensitized again, to my imagery, to the landscape. Eventually feeling completely at ease with solitude, with darkness, and simply switching on the light. All images were captured in Glendalough National Park, Ireland - a place I know intimately. I wanted to transform something totally familiar into something unique through a process of introspection. A push back from uniformity and click culture. I wanted to push the limits of my own comfort, the limits of lighting, and the limits of graphic originality as an affront to the homogenization of the landscape through social media and visual conformity.
