Nudes 1st place winner

When we met each other, we were in our thirties, and we had many things in common. We shared the feeling of having followed a dream that wasn’t ours. Since then, we have gone together through a change that led us to be the persons we really wanted to be.
To celebrate this self-acknowledgment, we found ourselves shooting nude self-portraits together, immersed in nature. Through photography, we have explored the relationship between our bodies and the environment. We have challenged prejudices and opened ourselves to an experience that has strengthened our individualities. We have enjoyed the connection with nature, as we were reinforcing the connection between our worlds.

After completing scientific studies and obtaining a PhD, I approached photography during a time of significant personal change. Since then, I started a long-term self-portrait project centered on the integration of the body with nature. Self-portraiture became a way to analyse the facets of my identity and affirm myself. Another recurring theme in my photographs is isolated and boundless places where humans are only a distant presence.
