MY EVAS.
I started this photographic series in 2019, commemorating the centenary of the birth of a great woman: Mrs. Eva Duarte de Perón.
For reasons that are not only historical, but also personal.
There’s no doubt that Eva Perón was a transcendental Argentinean woman.
Loved or hated, but never forgotten.
She was a milestone in the political history of our nation.
Personally, I think it’s important to mention that I was born on May 7th - as she did.
This is why her image was a part of my childhood, especially on “that day”.
Eva always appeared on magazines, posters, newsreels, books, television, in some city squares, in a corner of a family sideboard.
To my child’s eyes, she was my Queen, Special and Argentinean.
Eva, always beautiful, powerful, radiant, mythological.
As I grew up, I enjoyed watching her being loved and hated.
Eva always represented my rebelliousness.
I never tired of watching documentaries about her, her speeches, and even cried watching her coffin passed by at a parade.
Eva Perón moved me as much today as she did then.
And so I decided to enter her skin, her image, respectfully, with my memories, my experiences, and the intention
